Introduction - First impressions are everything.

Hello there! My name is Gabriel and I'm glad you've stumbled onto our little family blog. I am currently transitioning off Facebook (a millstone that has been around my neck since 2006) and onto a platform that allows me to chose what I post and who can see it. This allows me to share memories, photos, and ideas with you the reader but also allows us the privacy we deserve. Secondly, getting OFF Facebook prevents me from getting caught up in the minutia of going through a news feed every day just to figure out what my close friends and family are up to. This will force me to call or arrange coffee with the people I care about the most but still provide an outlet for creative ideas or just fun memories we share as a family. Lastly, it will free up huge amounts of time, one of God's greatest gifts to us as His creation. As a father of two boys (henceforth referred to as 'thing one' and 'thing two'), I want to look back at my stint of fatherhood as doing everything I could to teach and imbue in them a desire to love the things that the Lord loves and disdain the things He disdains; this will be a timely endeavor.

I don't know the frequency at which I'll post nor can I promise perfect grammar/spelling, but I can promise mediocrity..anything above or beyond that is icing on the cake ;)

I hope you stick around. If not, keep it real!

  1. Hello Gabriel, we are "friends" on FB. I can totally understand your desire to get away from that place. Blogging is much quieter because there's little or no interaction. (or drama) haha If you have any questions or need graphics help, I can help. I used to be with blogger but found Wordpress to be much better so I'm not as familiar with blogger anymore. You should allow people to Follow you because I'll probably never find your blog again. Yah bless! - Carol

    1. Hi Carol! Thanks for the encouragement. I will get on that whole follow thing ;) I think this will be a better venue to share thoughts and such without the drama of Facebook. I'm looking forward to your feedback. Brachot!
